Is it fitness or fun? Dubuque Dogs enjoy Open Gym!

Dog training in Dubuque Iowa just became more fun with the recent introduction of our Open Gym days.

At That’s My Dog! we believe in canine fitness and in the motto of “always learn” so we decided to combine our passion for the two by purchasing some new equipment and allowing our dog friends the fun of conquering some new challenges.

For many years we have incorporated obstacle training for the dogs with items like the tunnel, A-frame and various place boards to help build confidence and body awareness. Building a dog’s proprioceptive abilities has long been a standard part of our training and now we can take it further with some of our new toys, including a wobble board, fit ball, caviletties, weave poles and a teeter board.

So bring Fido by for some fitness, the fun of learning a new skill or just for the social time to beat the winter blahs. A trainer is always on hand to answer questions or assist you with the equipment.

Open gym is available to our dog training clients and other area dogs who are looking for something new to do. The next session is Sunday January 20th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Stop by and play! The event is free however we do ask for a small donation. All proceeds are given directly to our charity of the month. January’s charity is the Jackson County Humane Shelter.
