The ground hog said spring is on the way so we are planning on it for our Dubuque dog training classes!
Take a look at our March calendar to see that we’ll be starting up the level 1 Trick Class and a new session of Puppy Preschool. Our traveling On The Go! classes are back and we’ll be offering Canine Good Citizen testing as well. With all this plus our regularly scheduled polishing classes and doggie daycare there should be something for everyone. If you need to register for a class or sign up for daycare, give us a ring 563-588-3039
In the meantime stay aware as you are out and about with your dog enjoying the longer days and the warming weather. There can still be patches of ice to slip on and remember that your dog can strain muscles and ligaments too. A visit with Dr. Woodford DVM chiropractor might be in order if you notice any lameness or tender spots. She will be here at That’s My Dog! on Feb. 28th and March 28th.
Continue to wipe your dogs paws of salt and ice melt products. If your dog licks her feet and ingests those products it can lead to upset and nausea. Plus, a reminder not to allow your dog to lick or drink from run off in the street. There is always a possibility of antifreeze in those puddles so keep a close eye when you dogs nose goes to the ground.
Spring is getting closer so get ready for more fun and adventure with your dog, we certainly are!
