No Sleeping on the Job for this Galena Dog!
I want to take a moment to give a shout out to one of our awesome Galena dog training clients (we have a LOT of them!) Robyn Davis is the owner of Riley, a lovely golden doodle who has been through a few of our classes. Robyn also owns the Galena, IL sleepwear and lingerie boutique, Slumber.
On Saturday, December 14th Galena celebrated the holiday season with a Living Windows on Main Street event. Main Street businesses had live holiday displays between 4 and 6 PM. Robyn created a comfy bedroom scene complete with quilts, blankets and pillows and then snuggled in her favorite doggie pajamas (available at Slumber!) with Riley in the display titled “Sleeps With Dogs”
Riley loved the attention and showed off her repertoire of That’s My Dog! tricks. Lots of people took pictures while she performed Sit Pretty, Wave bye bye, Shake, Speak and Take a bow!
After about 1.5 hours she got a bit tired of the whole thing, but later that evening discovered she was quite the celebrity when she returned for a walk down Main Street. Many of her “fans” that had seen the window display stopped to say hello, pet her, and tell her how cute she was.
All in all, Riley had fun participating in living windows, earned her treats and did a GREAT JOB!
Congratulations to Robyn. She is a dynamic woman and busy entrepreneur yet makes time to commit to Riley for training and quality time together.
